RAFIK GRIGORYAN
Founder and Managing Director
"Sigma Law Group" law office was founded in 2021 by Rafik Grigoryan, Ph.D. in Law. Rafik Grigoryan is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia, lecturer at Yerevan State University until 2020, expert of the United Nations Development Program, and the Council of Europe in various programs.
Tatev Martirosyan
Tatev Martirosyan joined ''Sigma Law'' firm in 2021 as an associate and advocate.
Tatev graduated with honors from Yerevan State University, Faculty of Law: she has LL.B. and LL.M. degrees (business law) granted by Yerevan State University. Currently, she is a Ph.D. Student in the Civil Law Program at Yerevan State University.
In 2020, she became a member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia. Tatev has volunteered in such international and local companies as the "World Vision Armenia" International Relief and Development Organization for nearly 7 years, the YSU Legal Clinic, Advocates School's Legal Clinic, and had internships in such state institutions as the Constitutional Court, Court of Cassation, Supreme Judicial Council, Center of development of legislation and legal research, the office of Financial System Mediator and the like.
Tatev is the author of a number of scientific articles and works, including: "Problems of Legislative Regulation in the Public Service Sector, the Need to Ensure Unity", “The principle of proportionality in the context of the right to proper administration”, ՛՛Legal remedies for defending the interests of the defendant'', ՛՛Legal regulation of abuse of a dominant position in the Republic of Armenia'', ''Out-of-court settlement of disputes in the civil law procedure of the Republic of Armenia".

Tatev has more than 3 years of experience as a practicing lawyer. Her experience includes service in the RA State Revenue Committee. During her service, she executed the defense of the RA State Revenue Committee in the courts of the Republic of Armenia. Hence, by joining Sigma Law firm she aims to use all her knowledge and experience she gained for the benefit of our clients.
Rafik Grigoryan
Rafik Grigoryan is the Founder, Director, and Managing Partner of the ‘’Sigma Law” firm.
Rafik Grigoryan holds a PhD degree in Juridical Sciences, has been serving as a lecturer at Yerevan State University since 2020, is an IMI Certified Mediation Advocate and an expert in the United Nations Development Program as well as the Council of Europe.
Rafik Grigoryan holds LL.B. and LL.M. degrees granted by Yerevan State University. In 2016 he received a Ph.D. degree in law. He authored a monograph on "The regulation of bonds in the stock market of the Republic of Armenia" and is the author of about a dozen scientific articles. He has attended training and international conferences in the United Kingdom, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain and Cyprus.
By the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia of July 19, 2019, he was appointed as the First Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia. During his tenure, he coordinated the implementation of the Judicial and Legal Reform Strategy of the Republic of Armenia for the 2019-2023 period. Under his direct supervision numerous legislative amendments and reforms were implemented, in particular, the large-scale amendments to the Judicial Code adopted on March 25, 2020, amendments in the RA Law on Bankruptcy on December 12, 2019, Law on the Fact-Finding Commission, legislative package to combat COVID-19, etc. He has greatly contributed to the implementation of a number of government initiatives in various areas and has been in charge of or a member of a number of working groups and commissions.
Rafik Grigoryan was a case investigator/lawyer and then the head of the investigation group at the Office of Financial System Mediator. During his work at the Office of Financial System Mediator, he has contributed to the restoration of customer rights and authored a number of precedents in the financial sector. He is also the author of an insurance law course in the university master's program.

With the establishment of Sigma Law Office, a new stage begins, to be active in the field of both private and public law, aiming to contribute to the improvement of the state-legal system of Armenia, the development of legal regulations of the economy.
Vruyr Hovhannisyan
Vruyr Hovhannisyan is a junior lawyer of “Sigma law group” LLC who graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Yerevan State University having completed voluntary practice during that time firstly in the Legal Expertise Service of the Cassation Court of the RA, then in “Sigma law group” LLC. As a result of his volunteer practice at the “Sigma law group” law firm and showing himself as a professional specialist, he became a member of the company’s team.
He is the author of the graduate work named “Proceedings on cases with applications for the recognition of the decision of the Financial System Mediator as invalid and the issuance of a writ of execution for the enforcement of the decision of the financial system mediator”.
During his student years, he managed to write the following research papers: “The securities as an object of the civil law”, “The primary public offering of shares”, “Problems related to the financial recovery program”.
He is a participant in such moot-court competitions as “Forms of public administration” and “Mock Arbitration competition” organized by the Arbitrators’ Association of the Republic of Armenia.
He is hardworking, professional, and purposeful.
